Welcome to Rapanos Gertsch Art. My name is Theo, and I am currently based in Pretoria, Gauteng. Coming out of school, my interests focused on illustrations and architecture. Unfortunately, this did not get me a ticket into the Architecture program at the university. Despite this, I have continued to nurture my passion for architecture by drawing buildings and cityscapes. This passion was further nurtured by my interest in black-and-white film photography and the interplay of light and shadows. Since a young age, these interests have fuelled my attempts to find beauty in the often mundane urban landscapes that surrounded me. Today, I prefer to explore cities on foot with my camera, where I try to capture the essence of architecture and the emotion of urban space through my lens and art. Rapanos Gertsch Art is my way of expressing these passions and sharing them with others.
